Hickory Mission

two weekends ago we shot over to stay in gregs batch in Davauchelles.. where b-rad had an encounter with the epic "davauchelles Reef".. We Hit hickory the next day when all of chch was flat.. greeted by a clean 2ft swell and the Canterbury single fin classic. Still plenty of peaks to split with the pros, and had a wicked view of the comp from the water.

nick aka drop-in "no nads" bandit, living up to his name and dropping in on "me" scoring a nice floater tho..

Brighton lefts

The winds swung SW on sunday and after getting past the "slight" hangover from by brothers stag party, rolled out of bed and hit the water late arvo to a solid 3ft.. 100% commitment, we just went mad and paddled for everything including the odd 4-5ft closeouts.. good times and ner misses from the super shallow sand bars forming at brighton..

Oaro

Shot up to Oaro, and had an epic time, the swell had vanished almost, but there was 1-2ft rolling through on a sweet little shallow reef, with a bit of fin grinding i managed to score a few rides before the tide went out..

then a little off the logriding.. and onto some aotearoa seafood..

scoured the rock pools and scored some good size paua, and these little beauties, "kina" best eaten straight from the source..

a few other little spots that ooze potential on the right swell..

Balcony Spotting 2

Here is a good example of a lumpy offshore, spotted on sunday.

Looked like there was a decent wave at brighton on sunday morning.. shame i didnt get out of bed till 11..by the time i reached the pier it had swung onshore.. Suck

8am start

Word got around that there was going to be a solid swell on saturday.. so the call was made by andy, and we did a little mission up the coast to somewhat secret spot.. greeted by a ruffled solid 4ft swell and small crowd of surfers?? still there was heaps of waves to be had, heres some digi snaps..

boxing day

what the hell.. swell just vanished on boxing day...typical chch.. no worries tho, we hit the pier of a fun session with the water cam.. well the first time shooting from the water.. so the shots are a little sketchy..

Christmas eve

heavy on shore day, swung offshore, as santas sleigh flew over chch.. plus a nice 2-4ft swell bringing it together..
