Grrr

We have had masses of swell hitting canterbury for the week or so.. i have had to work, but managed to get out most nights.. and since its been soo good.. i have just been to excited to get to get any shots.. so heres a couple i snapped from the live web cam while chained at my desk itching to get in the water..

what the hell.. swell just vanished on boxing day...typical chch.. no worries tho, we hit the pier of a fun session with the water cam.. well the first time shooting from the water.. so the shots are a little sketchy..

heavy on shore day, swung offshore, as santas sleigh flew over chch.. plus a nice 2-4ft swell bringing it together..

Had a great trip up north, wasnt intended to be a surf trip, but managed to rent a mini mal out at whanga bar and score some sweet 1-3ft rights.

Kaikoura Roadie

So hav'nt had an update for a while.. Chch has'nt been lacking in swell though had few few classic days over the last month or so.. but had a quick mish up the coast to kaikoura to try and get a few waves in before the boys indo trip departing next Sunday. Fcuk Yeah!

Lone Soldier

The swell has been pumping for the last week.. So on sunday the wind swung offshore and i rolled down to brighton to snap a few shots.. Sadley, i wasn't heading out cos i have an avulsion injury to my 4th and 5th metatarsils (my ankle)..

What a day, there was a solid 4-5ft swell rolling in and just one lone soldier out back surfing.

Out back by the way was at least 50m past the end of brighton pier, and i watched about 6 guys attempt the paddle and get nowhere. The best option would have been to jump off the end of the pier at high tide..

I was almost to excited to take pictures, but heres a few shots:
